class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The International Forum on Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics (IFASD) provides a comprehensive overview of the status of research activities and industrial practice in the fields of Aerospace Vehicle Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics, Multidisciplinary Analysis and Optimization, and Active and Adaptive Structures.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It provides an excellent opportunity for scientists and engineers from industry, research centers and universities to exchange knowledge and findings of current studies, and to discuss directions for future research.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c5cb28e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c5cb28e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This IFASD will be the 21<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0in a series of meetings, held biennially across Europe and the United States. The first IFASD took place in Nuremberg (Germany) in 1981, and the most recent was held in The Hague (The Netherlands) in 2024.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The 21<sup>st\u00a0<\/sup>International Forum on Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics will be held in Goettingen, Germany, from 16 to 18 June 2026. An excursion\/technical visit is also planned for 19 June 2026. The Forum will be organised by the German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics (DGLR).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As in previous years, the Forum topics and sessions will cover key aspects of aeroelasticity and structural dynamics and will be held simultaneously in various conference rooms. Typically, each country has two members in the PC (a CEAS rule of thumb for scientific committees). At IFASD, those countries with larger aeroelastic tradition have sometimes had more than two members. This extension applies for example to USA representatives at the PC.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Chairperson of the program committee is temporarily elected by the PC members of the country, where the next forum takes place. The Chairperson of the PC is also chairperson of the (local) organizing committee.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The (local) Organizing Committee (OC) is entirely in charge of organizing the next IFASD, looking for a suitable venue, advertising IFASD, call for papers, gathering received abstracts and distributing them to the PC\u2026, and in general to organize all the logistics aspects of IFASD, including the banquet dinner and social\/cultural events.
